2018 NFL Draft Cleveland Browns Preview

***UPDATE #2*** Per RotoWorld and Jordan Raanan of ESPN: Rumor has it that the NY Giants are only willing to spend the 2nd overall pick in April's draft for a QB if it were going to be Sam Darnold. Read More    Browns also made another move in for the secondary by signing CB EJ Gaines. Read More. **UPDATE** As many of you have probably already scene. The NY Giants traded DE Jason Pierre-Paul to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday. Really, three things could happen here. Giants draft a QB or Barkely. They could still trade out with Buffalo or another sneaker team that no one is aware of yet. Finally, and what seems to now make the most sense, they draft DE Bradley Chubb in place of JPP's vacancy.   Who will be the one? Just weeks away from the 2018 NFL Draft and our beloved Cleveland Browns find themselves again picking high in Round 1.  At this point, with the New York Jets trading up to the #3 spot it looks like this draft could be shaking up to have three

From Rotoworld.com NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports suspended Browns WR Josh Gordon will be reinstated after serving a four-game suspension to begin the season. It's somewhat shocking news. Gordon's career appeared to be on the brink at times this offseason, but he's kept his head down since being unfortunately linked to Johnny Manziel. Per Rapsheet, Gordon's reinstatement is conditional, but he will be allowed to participate in training camp. That means he should be in near peak shape when he returns in Week 5. It's important to remember that Gordon has played in just five NFL games over the past two years, but he's still only 25 years old. He's a mid-round pick who will be an immediate WR3 upon his return, and perhaps a WR1 by the time it's all said and done.

Josh Gordon: Not that difficult of a decision.

Josh Gordon is making steps to set himself up for reinstatement by the NFL. But do we want to see him in a Browns uniform again? He is still just 25 years old. He may be in shape, but is he in football shape? Does he actually realize that this is his last chance? Do we even care because the Browns will be lucky to even win two games this year? My thoughts (for what little they are worth), just move on. We are beyond rebirth again at this point. To me he is just taking up a roster spot from someone who hasn't screwed up 10 times and/or from someone who actually loves to play the game and wants to show up to practice and become a household name on Sundays.  Hugh Jackson and his coaching staff need to realize this and work with the loaded WR roster we currently have. Mold these youngsters into what you want and need and roll with it. Why: Because, Josh  has not played an NFL game since December 21, 2014 and has been suspended for 27 of his last 32!  Next time, I will start

Ex Browns: Picks of Future Past

Above you will notice old faces with whom you may have a jersey of sitting in the back of your closet collecting dust. With names such as Richardson, Mingo, Manziel, Green, Weedon, Quinn, Robiskie, Little and the list goes on. Like most red blooded Americans, we like flash, we like bling, we like sexy. Drafting D-line or O-line personnel are not these things. When your team decides to trade down in the draft and draft a center from Cal, its just not SEXY.  Draft me a guy who will suit up in the number 88 and catch for 1400 yds and 11 TD's in round one.   However........... DT Leonard Williams could be a stud. Phil Taylor has been hit by the injury bug in each of the last three years and never really seemed to be the real play maker we need on that defensive front.  OLB Dante Fowler Jr  like Williams above, the Browns will need to trade up if they would like him practicing in Berea this year. He totaled 25 sacks his last two years at Florida and if Barkevio

Browns Could be Key to Where Mariota Lands

We all know by that our Brownies currently have picks 12 and 19 in next weeks draft. There are probably countless ways that the Browns could pull something off where we add talent and depth to this team or trade away all there picks for the next 2 years and only have a spread offense QB to show for it. I say if the Eagles will give Chip Kelly the power to make crazy trades, why not try and take advantage of that? Move down a few spots, gain extra picks and just make this team better from top to bottom instead of just focusing on one or two positions. However I don't see Sam Bradford doing any sort of sign and trade to the Browns. He does not want to play in Cleveland, even as the away team. Maybe we could even pull off a trade with the Chargers to get Phillip Rivers. He isn't my most favorite player in the world but compare him to what we have he looks pretty good. Plus you could plug him right in and play from day one. From Draft Insiders- – Expect the talk of teams

Your Cleveland Browns 2015 Schedule

Couple of pieces to point out: We start the year on the road which I believe has only happened three or four times since our rebirth. We have a Thursday night game at Cincy and a Monday night game at home against Baltimore . Our bye is on week eleven and that will be a good place to collect ourselves and we end the last third of the year against some pretty tough opponents. Being that we are playing a lot of AFC/NFC West teams we only have two 4:05 starts. Links of Interest: NFL Draft Full NFL 2015 Schedule

Manziel Released from Rehab

Well the real fun now begins. Johnny Football is out of rehab and with all signs pointing to that the Browns organization has moved on after just one year. What will happen to last years 1st round pick? There is not much market for a short, inexperienced, problem child, backup QB. For any team to take him in a trade we would really need to put up some real value to make a deal happen.  Lots of stories will start to swirl now that the draft is less than three weeks away. Be wary of what you read. Then again believe anything that you hear/read since Jimmy "do as I say not as I do" Haslam is running the show along with GM extraordinaire Ray "rollin the dice" Farmer.
