Browns vs Redskins

Over the last few days there have been lots of reports via the usual channels (Twitter, ESPN, SI.com, Rotoworld.com etc) indicating that the Redskins are in hot pursuit to move up from the six overall pick in Aprils draft to the #2 spot to pick Robert Griffin III. Although (on paper) the Browns have the edge in moving up in the the draft via there 4th and 22nd picks in the first round of the draft, the Redskins are equipped with an owner (Dan "what ever, I do what I want" Snyder) who will do whatever it takes to get what he deems is necessary for his team. Someone had brought up a good point early today why the 'Skins could very well win this bidding war for the Rams #2 pick. Redskins would defiantly commit to the Rams well before the Browns would. Rams may want a deal sooner rather than later as the market for a QB may thin out some once Peyton Manning and Matt Flynn find new homes. Although the Browns have around $25-$27million in cap space this season, the

RGIII and Free Agent Wide Receivers

Its amazing what gaining 1 and 3/8 of an inch can do to every sports talk radio station and mock draft in America. Robert Griffin III who was some young man who played QB for some school named Baylor which I believe is in Texas. I believe he also won an award recently that was put into the same pose as Al Bundy. Anyhow, the Browns were figured to be able to give up there 4th and 22nd overall pick in the first round to the St. Louis Rams to move up to the 2nd overall pick in order to draft the young stud from Baylor who wears odd socks. Since this new measurement, the Browns are now looking to give up Randy Lerner's first born child, the keys to Cleveland, a limitless MBNA credit card, and a fully loaded Ford F150 delivered by Colt McCoy. I was ok maybe a week ago with giveing up two first round picks for RGIII, but now with each passing day at the combine, the Rams sit pretty knowing that they can now ask for everything and the kitchen sink for a team that wants/needs

What to do, what to do

The NFL Combine is here. Teams all around the league are getting ready to release players and will be "awarding" others the franchise tag. The Browns sit again in a questionable spot. Bad enough to get a top five pick, but not bad enough to get a player of Andrew Luck's caliber. Will RGIII be available at the forth pick? Does the Browns front office resign Peyton Hillis , do we draft Trent Richardson or do we look toward free agency? Do we pick Blackmon at 4 and fill the giant need at the WR position? What about drafting another stud at the corner back position? Will the Redskins and the Wizard of Odd, Dan Snyder try to leap frog the Browns for RGIII? Whats out there possibly in the free agent market? ( click here ) Saw earlier today on "the twitter" that the giant banner outside Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis that used to display the Frankenstein like face of Peyton Manning now shows that of a giant blue horseshoe. Gotta think that Man
