What to Watch For and to Remember as Draft Day Approaches:

The draft starts on Thursday at 8pm. (just like last year).

The Browns pick #6 in round one.

In the early rounds look for a playmaking WR in AJ Green or Julio Jones or a passrushing LB/DE in Robert Quinn.

Keep in mind that with the current lockout, free agency is on hold. Could it benefit the Browns to draft first this year, rather than woo free agents and then draft to fill in the holes?

Don't expect the Browns to take a QB in the first 3 rounds. Unless someone falls dramatically like Brady Quinn and Ben Rapistburger did in the past. With needs at WR, DL, LB, and CB, I just don't see it happening.

The Indians play the Royals at home that day, so if your are going up to the draft party at Browns Stadium, you may want to go up early (could be a little congested).

If Cam Newton were still available at #6, look for Cleveland to trade down, no more that three spots to gain picks and STILL get the player they had on their "big board".

No matter how many draft magazines, blogs, websites, & Mel Kiper mocks you have read. No one really knows what the hell is gonna happen. Getting an NFL draft down to a "T" is like filling out your March Madness bracket with 100% accuracy.

How Does Johnny Football Figure Into This Years Draft?

With the NFL Draft fast approaching your Cleveland Browns are faced with another slew of challenges (and by challenges I really mean a giant shit storm of problems). It is beyond obvious that GM Ray Farmer is clueless on how to build a team through the draft and all the corner office suits are so inept at there positions that we can't even get any decent free agents to visit let alone sign here. The Browns are currently picking 12th and 19th in the first round. Depending on the mock draft the Browns could be doing anything from trading up with  Tennessee to draft Marcus Mariota or just turning in a blank card on draft day. For once, the Browns should only do one of two things. One: Stay at both 12 and 19 and draft the best available player or your "big board" at those spots. We basically suck at every position but LT, C, and one CB spot. Bolster your roster from top to bottom, add depth, play makers, make smart decisions. If the QB you want is not going to be...

2018 NFL Draft Cleveland Browns Preview

***UPDATE #2*** Per RotoWorld and Jordan Raanan of ESPN: Rumor has it that the NY Giants are only willing to spend the 2nd overall pick in April's draft for a QB if it were going to be Sam Darnold. Read More    Browns also made another move in for the secondary by signing CB EJ Gaines. Read More. **UPDATE** As many of you have probably already scene. The NY Giants traded DE Jason Pierre-Paul to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday. Really, three things could happen here. Giants draft a QB or Barkely. They could still trade out with Buffalo or another sneaker team that no one is aware of yet. Finally, and what seems to now make the most sense, they draft DE Bradley Chubb in place of JPP's vacancy.   Who will be the one? Just weeks away from the 2018 NFL Draft and our beloved Cleveland Browns find themselves again picking high in Round 1.  At this point, with the New York Jets trading up to the #3 spot it looks like this draft could be shaking u...

Ok.....Just Hear Me Out on This One.

I have March Madness.  Except my version does not involve basketball.  Mine involves that time of the year where there is no football, no baseball, and my BlueJackets suck right now.  So my full attention is focused on the NFL draft. Everyone and there next door neighbor has there theory on who is doing what and has some source that heard this rumor from a note written on the bathroom wall of a truck stop in Lincoln, Nebraska. In the last several weeks we have the Cleveland Browns drafting in round one Eric Berry, Sam Bradford, Colt McCoy, Tim Tebow, Joe Haden & God knows who else. However.....what if we chose to draft another offensive lineman? WTF?!?!? You say... Let me ask you this: How did we win the last 4 games of 2009?  RUNNING THE BALL . How sweet would our starting O-Line look with this blocking for Delhomme and Harrison: LT Joe Thomas   LG Eric Steinbach  C  Alex Mack  RG  TBD   RT  Tony Pasho...
