Browns vs Titans Review

Quinn to Win!!!

Lineup changes: Adams starts at safety, Rubin at nose, Hall at OLB. Inactives include Rogers, Harrison, Pool, Tucker, Bowens, Brown

Wimbley and Mosley team for a sack.

Mack starts at center for the second straight week.

Cribbs lots of time with the 1st team offense and effective.

Quinn looks good so far but they have to settle for a FG. (at least we moved the ball and there were no sacks)

Quinn 7/9 for 74 yrds, picking up the blitzs well, what's DA gonna do?

DA trips ref, night not starting off well.

Sure would be nice to see how Rodgers would affect the pass rush.

Blocked FG....NICE.

DA in and another screen play.

Is it just me or does Quinn not seem to hook up with Edwards like DA does?

DA misses a short pass yet again.

Get used to the def pass interferance w/out a pass rush.

Titan turnover to kill the first half.

Titans 7-3 at halftime. Anderson is 4-of-5 for 54 yards. Quinn is 7-of-9 for 74 yards.

3rd quarter starts with DA marching down the field.

Edwards with a one handed catch but OB. Settle for FG.

Titans 7 Browns 6

Titans fumble, Quinn coming back out to run the offense, he will need this to be good
to keep DA on the bench for sure.

Quinn to Edwards and HE CAUGHT IT!

Browns 13 Titans 7.

Alex Hall just crushed Vince Youngs Hall of Fame career with a INT TD.

Browns 20 Titans 7.

Browns special teams are just plain good. Bout the only thing really the last couple years.

Vince still has the legs, scrambles for 23.

Titans seem to be searching for a quick score, they need more cowbell.

Young to Mulligan

Browns 20 Titans 14.

PLEASE REDO CRIBBS CONTRACT

If Cribbs ran for President and James Davis was his running mate, that's change I can believe in.

Check back soon for more insight and puns.

The Pooh Has Hit The Fan

Its been about a week since my last post. But its been very difficult to write about something that isn't worth writing about. So what I am going to do is simply post everything interesting I have been able to come across during the past few days. Oh, in case you didn't hear, the Browns let the door hit the ass of general manager George Kokinis on his way out. AFC North Stock Watch Adam Schefter talks about Cleveland getting rid of GM George Kokinis and what this means for Eric Mangini ( video ) The BROWN OUT Eric Barton going on I.R.? Mantarded's Master Plan ? The Browns should lose there Monday Night Football spot. Tedy Bruschi Defends Eric Mantarded. Browns Fans Say Owner Has Dogged Determination. Browns Owner " sick " about state of Browns, but won't fire Mantarded.

Odds and ends

On a slow day (although the day is still young) here is just a reminder and update on whats going on in the world of the Orange and Brown : Whispers from sources are saying that Rex Hadnot has had not a minor but serious knee injury. It's probably safe to say that you can put an I.R. next to his name. Don't miss Family Day at Cleveland Browns Stadium on August 9. Family Day includes the "Brown and White Scrimmage", which will allow Browns fans of all ages see the team take the field at the stadium. The "Brown and White Scrimmage" is a free, non-ticketed event. The fun starts at 10:30 a.m. on Tailgate Terrace and Alfred Lerner Way - where Browns fans of all ages can enjoy music and inflatables. Gates to the stadium open at 11 a.m., with the "Brown and White Scrimmage" set to kick off at 1 p.m. The first 25,000 fans entering the stadium will receive a free commemorative roster card. Shaun Rodgers and Some Insight on the Draft

A customer of mine told me once one of the greatest words to live by some years ago. “Never let your meat loaf.” Back when I heard this I only thought of it in a sexual context.   But after hearing of the release of DT Shaun Rodgers this past week I was able to apply this great piece of advice from a half senile old man in a different way. The 10 year veteran had played only sparingly over the past two seasons.   He ended the 2009 season on the I.R. (as so many others did as well).   This past season sometime during training camp, Rodgers became gimpy and turned into the Lance Armstrong of stationary bikes.   During the regular season Mr. Rodgers was lucky to play 20 snaps a game. 2009 stats: 11 games played, 11 game starts, 36 tackles (9 assisted) 2 sacks. 2010 stats: 15 games played, 1 game start, 17 tackles (3 assisted) 2 sacks. Shaun's salary in 2010 was $6.9 million, his base for 2011 was 5.5 million.  Really didn't take a rocket scientist to figure ...
