A league source has informed some local media that Syndric Steptoe is now out for the year after tearing his labrum during Saturdays practice. He will most likely go on the I.R.
What is a labral tear?
A shoulder labral tear is an injury to the cartilage in the shoulder joint. The shoulder is a ball and socket joint. The ball is the end of the arm bone (humerus). This ball fits into the bowl-shaped socket of the shoulder (glenoid). Cartilage lines the socket to keep movement smooth. When the cartilage tears it is called a shoulder labral tear.
Well this should allow someone like David Patten, Jordan Norwood, or Paul Hubbard a small sigh of relief. It may allow them now a much better chance of making the team.
