Brady Quinn to Win.....

Well either this is just another stunt to keep the Vikings guessing or this is actually how its going to play out. Via All-Pro WR Terrell Owens, he leaked a tweet stating that Quinn won the starting job here in Cleveland.

While taking a closer look at some of the "tweets" on T.O's account, I noticed Donte Stallworth conversing with him. Who knows, maybe T.O. does have the inside track.

But for anyone who follows the Browns this is not a earth shattering announcement. I think for the most part we all anticipated this. Now if we can trade Derek Anderson for a draft pick or something that would be the cherry on the sunday.

Here was Eric Mangini's press conference from earlier stating that he sat down with both QB's and told them who won. But did not say to the press who it was.(click here)

In a different story, Minnesota co-front man Brett Favre stated that Mangini should have benched him last season when both where with the New York Jets. (read more)

Shaun Rodgers and Some Insight on the Draft

A customer of mine told me once one of the greatest words to live by some years ago. “Never let your meat loaf.” Back when I heard this I only thought of it in a sexual context. But after hearing of the release of DT Shaun Rodgers this past week I was able to apply this great piece of advice from a half senile old man in a different way. The 10 year veteran had played only sparingly over the past two seasons. He ended the 2009 season on the I.R. (as so many others did as well). This past season sometime during training camp, Rodgers became gimpy and turned into the Lance Armstrong of stationary bikes. During the regular season Mr. Rodgers was lucky to play 20 snaps a game. 2009 stats: 11 games played, 11 game starts, 36 tackles (9 assisted) 2 sacks. 2010 stats: 15 games played, 1 game start, 17 tackles (3 assisted) 2 sacks. Browns Could be Key to Where Mariota Lands

We all know by that our Brownies currently have picks 12 and 19 in next weeks draft. There are probably countless ways that the Browns could pull something off where we add talent and depth to this team or trade away all there picks for the next 2 years and only have a spread offense QB to show for it. I say if the Eagles will give Chip Kelly the power to make crazy trades, why not try and take advantage of that? Move down a few spots, gain extra picks and just make this team better from top to bottom instead of just focusing on one or two positions. However I don't see Sam Bradford doing any sort of sign and trade to the Browns. He does not want to play in Cleveland, even as the away team. Maybe we could even pull off a trade with the Chargers to get Phillip Rivers. He isn't my most favorite player in the world but compare him to what we have he looks pretty good. Its been about a week since my last post. But its been very difficult to write about something that isn't worth writing about.
